Dog Car Seat Belts

It terrifies me when I see small dogs sticking their heads out a very open car window or large dogs in the back of pick up trunks. While I know that most dogs have no issues, it makes me sad for those that happen to hit a bump and end up injured or worse.

I think that there is a reason why us humans have laws for seats belts- it is for our safety. I think that when we drive we should also think about our pets safety.

If you do not have your dog in a dog carrier , dog crate, or dog car seat you really should think about giving them a dog seat belt.

Not only will these save your dog if you were to be in an accident, but they can also prevent distractions because your dog will no longer be able to climb where ever they please.

Swimwear!

It is supposed to be in the high 80s here the next few days. That means that lots of people will be out on the water. Make sure you pooch is looking stylish with dog bathing suits.

Humane Society Food Donation

(a little late I know..)

After it was all said and done Poochieheaven was able to donate almost 1000lbs of food and treats to the Eau Claire Humane Society.

New Carriers

Wait for a Good Thing

Duke is a dog that gets very excited to go for walks. I have successfully (most of the time) trained to him sit before he ever gets to go outside. He normally get quite excited and then in a second realizes that he needs to sit. I did many of the things below without realizing it.

2. Teach them to "Say please"

3. Pick up your dog's leash throughout the day-

4. Use negative pusnishment-

5. Reduce the signifiance of other "walk cues".
