Cleaning Your Pup's Ears

Dog ears can be particularly sensitive and knowing how to clean and care for them is essential.  Dog’s ears are often vulnerable as they play and roll in the grass and fields.  To clean your dog’s ears there are a few items that you will need such as cotton swabs, balls and pet ear cleaners.
Start with an dog ear cleansing formula that was created for dogs and soak a cotton ball.  You will then need to place the ball in your pets ear and begin to, gently, rub the inside surface of the ear.  Once you have washed the ear, allow the dog to shake his head, getting any moisture out that may be in the ear.  Once your pet has settled back down, take a cotton swab and soak the end in the formula.  You will then use the end of the cotton swab to get into the nooks and crannies.
It is important that you do not go down the ear canal of the dog, as dogs are susceptible to infection and you could damage the canal.
