Give Your Dog a Bath Outside

With summer near, there are many advantages that each of us hold. And, for the pet owner (especially those owners with pets with long hair) there isn’t a bigger advantage than giving your pet a bath outside.

Giving your dog a bath outside is comfortable. Your first picture might be of a garden hose and spraying the animal. But, bath time is important and a nurturing between pet and pet owner. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that you perform the task properly.

Prior to your dog’s batch, brush his/her hair to help to get rid of all the mats. If you have a tub that you can use outside for the dog, definitely use it. Fill it with a bit of warm soapy water and let the pouch become comfortable. If your dog is not accustomed to bathing outside put him on a short leash to ensure that he stays in place. You will want to soak the pet’s entire body and then lather with the pet shampoo making sure to stay clear of their eyes. Once you have lathered up the pet, rinse.

Remember that when showering / bathing your pet, it is important to soothe him at all times, whether this is gentle talking as you bath him or a pat on the back, definitely keep him/her comfortable.

At Poochieheaven, we have a great selection of dog shampoos to use for your outside baths!
