Vivre Rire Aimer

Vivre Rire Aimer

My grandma died last week. She was a super special lady who I loved and who loved Duke. When she was sick, she had two pictures by her bed- her cat and Duke. I was very lucky that I was able to bring Duke in to see her one last time before she died. Even though Duke weighs about 115lbs and my grandma was about that or less, Duke was very well behaved for her. She could take him for walks and all!

Story behind the shirt:

I loved the saying "Live Laugh Love", but did not want to get that as a tattoo. I love my grandma's handwriting and thought that it would be neat to get a tattoo in her handwriting. To make it even more unique, because she is from France, I thought I would get it in French. Thus, this is the tattoo-
After getting the tattoo, I was looking at it more and realized that the first part of vivre is Viv...which is my grandma's name. I didn't realize it before I got the tattoo, but having that is extra special.

Last week, after my grandma died, because of her special relationship with Duke, I was looking for an I Love my Grandma shirt for Duke. Since he is a huge dog, I had to get one special made. I contact one of my vendors to see if she had one, she didn't but was able to make one. When I got to thinking more, I asked her if she would be able to take a picture of my tattoo and make it into a shirt, she said yes.

This is what she made (Piper's shirt).
My grandma did not want a funeral, so we will be honoring her wishes and holding a memorial instead. Duke, Piper, and Jax all got a shirt and will be wearing it this weekend at her memorial. Piper, Duke, & Jax are not cooperating with me today, so I'll have to post pictures later of them wearing the shirt.

Thank you Deb. These are exactly what I was looking for and I appreciate it more than you know.
