Healthy Teeth?

Your dog's teeth and gums are a very good indicator of your dog's general health.

Things to look for:

• Healthy gums are pink- not white or red
• Healthy gums are firm and moist- not soft or dry
• The edges of the gums should be free of soft white matter or hard brown matter
• Healthy gums are odor free

There are a few things you can do to make sure your dog has healthy teeth and gums. One of the most important things you can do is to brush your dogs teeth, at Poochieheaven we carry a pretty unique dog toothbrush & toothpaste. Other options are dental sprays, such as Petzlife, that you can spray on your dog's teeth and dental rinses that you can add to their water.

If your dog's teeth have gotten beyond repair you can take them to your dog's veterinarian for a cleaning, just like humans!
